Chapter 79 He Was Used to Giving Gifts to Mu Zhi

But Mu Zhi had no time to pay any mind to Lu Jinye’s feelings. She was more focused on suppressing

any suspicions Lu Jinye may have at the party.

They quickly arrived at a large manor. It was dusk. The manor was surrounded by fields of flowers and

Right next to the manor, there was a water park that looked like it had been specially prepared for the

children. The park was modeled after adorable animals.

Lu Jinye parked the car and they both got out. Mu Zhi saw that Mu Xiaomu had followed Liang Jieyi out

of their car.

Liang Jieyi seemed to be used to such grandeur settings, he did not show any interest. Whereas Mu

Xiaomu was filled with excitement. She ran on her short legs towards the water park.

Seeing this, Mu Zhi ran towards her to stop her.

“Xiaomu, stop! You might fall and get your clothes wet.”

Mu Xiaomu stared at Mu Zhi, her eyes were wide and filled with longing. She clearly wanted to play.

Suddenly Liang Jieyi appeared next to her and said, “Xiaomu, there are much prettier things that are

more suitable for girls inside. I’ll take you.”

Mu Zhi turned to look at Lu Jinye while he explained calmly.

“Why?”

“Because we are no longer married. It will not be appropriate for me to receive gifts from you.”
