Xiao Qingqing was thunderstruck the instant she was hung up on.

She grasped the phone in between her fingers, hoping to squash it into bits, and ended up launching it

against the wall.

She paced her room in exasperation.

By mentioning ‘business to take care of’, she was merely giving herself an out, as well as sparing Lu

Jinye an excuse.

What else could happen when a man was left alone in a woman in the middle of the night, accompanied

by the stormy and steamy night!
